The USTA originally announced that 2011 French Open champion Na Li of China would be appearing at the USTA’s Mobile SmashZone, when SmashZone stopped at Sara D. Roosevelt Park in the Chinatown District of Manhattan on Monday, Aug. 22 from 3:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m. Unfortunately, the event has been cancelled. The USTA apologizes for any inconvenience this has caused.

For those who are unfamiliar with Na Li, she became the first Chinese player, male or female, to win a Grand Slam when she did so at this year’s French Open. Na was already extremely popular to begin with in her country, and is now a Chinese icon thanks to her tennis success. She is currently ranked a career-high number four in the world which ties her with Kimiko-Date Krumm of Japan as highest ranking Asian player in tennis history.
