Tommy Haas kept alive his chances of qualifying for next month’s ATP World Tour Finals, defeating Robin Haase 6-3 4-6 6-4 on Sunday to lift his 15th career title at the Vienna Open. It was Haas’ second trophy of the season after winning in Munich in May.

"This victory is really something special," said Haas. "You don’t win tournaments too often and this year I’ve won in my two favorite cities."

Haas, currently 12th in the ATP Men’s Singles Ranking, has an outside chance of making it to next month’s eight-man ATP World Tour Finals at London’s O2 Arena. Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, David Ferrer and Juan Martin Del Potro have qualified for the tournament and Wimbledon champion Andy Murray has pulled out following back surgery. Tomas Berdych, Stanislas Wawrinka, Roger Federer, Richard Gasquet, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Milos Raonic and Haas are in a battle to secure the remaining four spots.
