Tsonga Moves on in Monte-Carlo

At the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters on Tuesday, it was Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga who advanced to the third round, defeating Philipp Kohlschreiber 6-4, 1-6, 6-4. With the win Tsonga moves to 7-1 lifetime over Kohlschreiber.

Also on Tuesday, it was Italian Andreas Seppi who upset the 13th seeded Mikhail Youzhny, 6-3, 7-6(4). Seppi moves on to face Pablo Andujar in the second round.

Another seed fell as French qualifier Michael Llodra knocked out the 16th-seeded Jerzy Janowicz 6-4, 6-2. Llodra is playing singles for the first time since Marseille in February, will face Lukas Rosol next.

Also advancing was Yen-Hsun Lu, who earned a second-round matchup with eighth seed Milos Raonic after he defeated Federico Delbonis 7-6(5), 6-1.
