Hundreds of tennis industry leaders, professionals and executives will join together at The Tennis Show 2014 on August 24th at the Grand Hyatt in New York City to celebrate the business of tennis. Held in conjunction with the Tennis Teachers Conference and on the eve of the 2014 US Open, The Tennis Show 2014 is a rare opportunity for the tennis industry—including teaching professionals and coaches, retailers, facility owners/managers, manufacturers and players—to celebrate and discuss the business of tennis. The afternoon will include the Tennis Industry Association (TIA) Tennis Forum and the Tennis Industry Hall of Fame induction.

The 7th Annual TIA Tennis Forum, which will start at 5:15 p.m. in Salon V of the Grand Hyatt New York, will include the latest news about the state of the industry, including participation, equipment sales data, grassroots initiatives, Youth Tennis, and more. The Forum will conclude with the Tennis Industry Hall of Fame induction of industry pioneer and former TIA President Jim Baugh. (Plaques of Tennis Industry Hall of Fame inductees, including Billie Jean King, Nick Bollettieri and Dennis Van der Meer, are on permanent display at the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, R.I.)

At 6 p.m., The Tennis Show, which is managed by the TIA, will open in the Manhattan Ballroom and Lobby Level Reception, highlighting the newest gear, products, technology and services from more than 50 companies and organizations. In addition, participating companies will hold prize drawings for merchandise and services valued at more than $20,000.

“We’re excited to present The Tennis Show and thrilled with the interest we’re seeing from exhibitors and tennis providers,” says TIA Executive Director Jolyn de Boer. “Tennis companies will be showcasing truly innovative products and services that will help to continue moving this sport and industry forward.”

All event attendees also will receive a link to their own Tennis Show “Virtual Bag,” easily viewable across all digital devices, including smartphones and tablets. The TIA has partnered with VirtualEventBags.com to provide show attendees the opportunity to view, save and redeem offers from exhibitors along with many companies and organizations that were unable to exhibit at the sold-out Tennis Show.

Attendees are also encouraged to download The Tennis Show app to their smartphones. The app includes information about the exhibitors, a map of the show floor, event times, and the ability to create a "to do" list, see who else is attending the show, and post to photos and information to Facebook and Twitter. To download the app, first download the "Guidebook App" to your mobile device, then click "Download Guides" at the bottom of the app screen and search for "The Tennis Show 2014" Guide.

More than 50 tennis businesses and organizations will be on hand as exhibitors at The Tennis Show 2014, set for Sunday, Aug. 24, at the Grand Hyatt New York.
