Anudeep Kodali, a senior Blue Chip recruit and ranked in the top 20 in the U.S. on TennisRecruiting.net, won the final USTA/Florida One-on-One Doubles Grand Prix Tournament played at the Buckhorn Springs Tennis and Swim Club in Valrico, Fla. Kodali defeated Matt Bocko, last week's champion at Avila Golf & Country Club, 4-3(5-2), in a thrilling final. Kodali displayed his arsenal of high-quality, all-court tennis, and earned $2,000. Under the new NCAA rules, juniors can receive up to $10,000 per year in prize money. Bocko earned $1,000 for his second place finish.

Ashley Fisher, who was a 2006 U.S. Open Doubles semifinalist, captured the third place match, defeating Lance Cohen, an ATP player from South Africa, 4-1. Fisher earned $750 for his third place finish, while Cohen earned $250 for his fourth place prize. Steve Arvey's Electric Blues Band performed as the event's musical guest.

Chris Henderson from Tampa, Fla. won the One-on-One Doubles Grand Prix Circuit with 225 points. Chris made the quarterfinals of three events and the semifinal of another. Henderson wins an all-expenses paid trip to compete in the National One-on-One Doubles Tournament, to be held at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center on Sunday, Nov. 9.

The tournament's 21 players competed on five courts and played short sets, first to win four games, no-ad scoring, with a nine-point tie-breaker played at three-all. The five court round-robin champs and top three wild cards were placed into the tournament's single elimination quarterfinals.

"It was exciting to showcase the One-on-One Doubles tournament format around the state of Florida,” said Tournament Director Ed Krass. “With two top juniors winning the champion's purse, I am looking forward to growing the game with some Junior One-on-One Doubles Tournaments in the near future. I also believe the tournament's four-hour rockin' format will be an excellent addition to USTA Pro Circuit Tournaments in 2015.”
