American Shelby Rogers advanced to the French Open fourth round on Friday, bageling 10th seed Petra Kvitova of the Czech Republic twice for the 6-0, 6-7(3), 6-0 victory.

Rogers hit 25 winners to just 18 unforced errors while taking advantage of 36 unforced errors from Kvitova.

“She started playing much better in the second,” said Rogers. “I was just trying to take it point by point, because if I started to think too much, she for sure would have the advantage there. Just one point at a time.”

The fourth-round appearance is the farthest the Charleston, South Carolina has advanced at a Grand Slam. She will take on 25th seed Irina Begu of Romania. Begu ousted Germany’s Annika Beck 6-4, 2-6, 6-1 on Friday.

Rogers compatriot Sloane Stephens did not fare as well in her third-round match on Friday, as Tsvetana Pironkova beat Stephens 6-2, 6-1.

Pironkova will take on second-seed Agnieszka Radwanska. The Pole hung on to outlast 30th seeded Czech Barbora Strycova 6-2, 6-7(6), 6-2.

“I’m just very happy that I come back in that third set and win that match,” Radwanska said afterwards.

2014 finalist Simona Halep had to fight back from a set down to beat Japan’s Naomi Osaka 4-6, 6-2, 6-3. The sixth-seeded Romanian will square off with 21st seed Samantha Stosur in the fourth-round.

Stosur outlasted 11th seeded Czech Lucie Safarova 6-3, 6-7(0), 7-5 on Friday.

Two-time quarterfinalist Garbine Muguruza rolled into the fourth-round with a 6-3, 6-0 victory over Yanina Wickmayer, setting up a matchup with 13th seed Svetlana Kuznetsova. The Russian defeated 24th seed Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova 6-1, 6-4.
