Tomas Berdych has announced the addition of Goran Ivanisevic to his coaching staff. The 30-year-old Berdych sits in the number eight spot in the Emirates ATP Men’s Singles Rankings. Ivanisevic, a former world number two and winner of Wimbledon in 2001 as a wild card entrant, will join Berdych for next week’s Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati.

Berdych fired his previous coach Dani Vallverdu in May and has trained the last two months with Luka Kutanjac.

“I feel that Goran, with his playing and coaching experience, as well as his energy, is a perfect addition to the team. [I’m] feeling excited about new challenges,” said Berdych via his Twitter account.

Ivanisevic recently ended his three-year coaching tenure with 2014 U.S. Open champion Marin Cilic.
