19th World Maccabiah Games Set for July 17-30, 2013 in Israel

The 19th World Maccabiah Games will take place July 17-30, 2013 in Israel. Tennis is among the 35-plus sporting events that will be featured, as more than 7,000 Jewish athletes will represent 60-plus nations. Tennis participants will be competing in the following categories (age as of 12/31/13):

►Masters Level (M, F): Ages 35-plus

►Grand Masters Level (M): Ages 65-plus through 80-plus

►Open Level (M, F): All Ages, generally 18-plus years of age

The Masters Tennis tryouts will be held Saturday-Monday, Oct. 27-29, 2012 at the Boca Raton Resort & Club. Interested Athletes must send in an official application as well as a tennis tryout.  Masters participants will be required to make a $6,000 tax-deductible contribution to help sponsor a younger athlete, plus the cost of the registration fee and air/land. Approximate trip cost for the full USA Maccabiah program is $12,000 per person.
