St. John’s Roberto Livi, Alan Nunez Aguilera, Jessica Livianu and Anna Morozova were named to All-BIG EAST teams on Friday.

St. John’s senior Roberto Livi wrapped up a memorable Red Storm career with his fourth-straight selection to the All-BIG EAST Team while sophomore Alan Nunez Aguilera joined Livi on the All-Conference squad, which is voted on by the coaches, for the first time in his young career.

Livi has been named to the All-BIG EAST team in each of his four seasons including a pair of BIG EAST Player of the Year awards in 2015 and 2016.

The senior racked up more than 50 singles victories throughout his career with the Red Storm including eight wins in his final dual match season.

Nunez Aguilera enjoyed a breakout season of his own during his second year. The sophomore went 12-4 in singles action while playing the majority of his matches at the No. 3 position. Nunez Aguilera also grabbed 12 doubles victories, going 10-6 at the No. 2 spot.

On the women’s side, Jessica Livianu  was named both BIG EAST Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year and grabbed a spot on the All-BIG EAST Team alongside senior Anna Morozova.

Livianu marked another program first with her sweep of the major conference awards as she becomes the first St. John’s player to win either Player of the Year or Rookie of the Year since the BIG EAST conference realignment in 2012.

Livianu enjoyed an incredible fall campaign as she went 19-3 in singles play and received the program’s first-ever invitation to the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships, where she went 2-2 against the top competition in collegiate tennis.

Following this stellar fall season Livianu broke into the Oracle/ITA National Tennis Singles Rankings with a spot as the No. 43-best player in NCAA Division I Tennis. The freshman remained top-65 in the rankings for the entirety of the spring dual match season.

Currently ranked No. 62, Livianu recently recorded another program first as she received an automatic qualification from the BIG EAST conference to the NCAA Division I Women’s Singles Championship, which will be played later this month in Athens, Ga. She is the only player in program-history to be invited to this tournament.

Livianu earned this prestigious invitation after recording a 40-2 record in match play, going 18-2 in singles play at the No. 1 spot and a perfect 22-0 in doubles play.

The freshman marked this perfect record in doubles action while playing alongside fellow All-BIG EAST Team member Morozova.

Morozova, a senior, has been a mainstay on the All-BIG EAST Team as she grabs her third-consecutive appearance on the conference team voted on by the coaches.

The Yaroslavl, Russia, native breezed through doubles play with Livianu as the pair went 22-0 at the No. 1 spot. The duo shutout their opponents four different times and lost four games in only three of these matches.
