US Open champion Bianca Andreescu has known nothing but winning over the last several months on tour, and the Canadian teenager extended her streak to 17 straight matches with a win over American Jennifer Brady at the China Open.

Andreescu won 6-1, 6-3 to reach the tournament’s quarterfinals, her sixth tour-level quarterfinal appearance this season.

“I think it was a solid match overall from my part,” said Andreescu. “My goal was to take control right from the start and make sure I’m consistent with my serve. Last couple matches, I wasn’t. I’m really happy with how my serve held up today, and also my return, especially in the first set.”

In the quarterfinals, Andreescu will square off with top-ranked Naomi Osaka, who took out American Alison Riske 6-4, 6-0.

Caroline Wozniacki also advanced to the quarterfinals on Thursday, defeating Katerina Siniakova 7-5, 6-4, as did Daria Kasatkina, who won 6-4, 6-3 over Ekaterina Alexandrova.
