The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has announced that East Meadow, N.Y. native Lonnie Mitchel of SUNY Oneonta, long-time columnist for Long Island Tennis Magazine, has been selected as SUNYAC Coach of the Year for women's tennis. The honor comes after Mitchel led the Red Dragons to a third place finish at the recently completed SUNYAC Tournament.

The USTA has announced that ESPN3 and WatchESPN will deliver the men’s and women’s singles semifinals and finals of the 2015 USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships, Nov. 14-15, and will include mid-match, on-court interviews with players, first debuted by ESPN during the 2015 U.S. Open.

The UCLA pair of Mackenzie McDonald and Robin Anderson swept the second annual American Collegiate Invitational titles Saturday. The 20-year-old McDonald of Piedmont, Calif. beat Vanderbilt 22-year-old graduate Gonzales Austin of Miami, 6-2, 7-5, in the men's final. Anderson, a 22-year-old from Matawan, N.J. who was a senior in 2015, beat fellow UCLA grad, 21-year-old Chanelle Van Nguyen of Miami, 6-4, 6-4, in the women's final.

With the NCAA Championships in the books, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) has announced the final Oracle/ITA National Collegiate Tennis Rankings of the 2014-2015 season. On the women's side, Vanderbilt won the NCAA title over UCLA, while Virginia beat Oklahoma on the men's side, each victory propelling the teams to the top of the rankings. Both schools are ranked number one for the first time this season.
