Freshman Jamie Loeb of North Carolina won her second-straight college tennis major, while senior Clay Thompson of UCLA won his 15th straight match to win the men's singles title at the 2013 USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships, held at USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center and hosted by Columbia University.

The finals are set at the 2013 USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships, held at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center and hosted by Columbia University. The women's singles final will be a rematch off the Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Championships final, as Ossining, N.Y.'s Jamie Loeb of North Carolina and Robin Anderson of UCLA both won their semifinals in straight sets on Saturday.

On May 21, the Virginia Cavaliers took home the 2013 NCAA Men’s Tennis Championship, while the Stanford Cardinals seized the NCAA Women’s title. The Cavaliers (30-0) defeated the UCLA Bruins 4-3, finally taking the next step after falling short as the runner-up the past two years. The Cardinals (22-4) knocked off the Texas A&M Aggies, 4-3, marking Stanford’s 17th national championship.

As with everything, the location of the university where you want to play college tennis is important. Playing college tennis in the south is a lot different than playing in the north where the entire winter you are playing indoor tennis. Other aspects of location are whether you want a school in the city or in a traditional college town, close to or far from home.
