While the temperature has cooled off since earlier in the week, the 2018 U.S. Open is just beginning to heat up as we head into Day Six on an important Saturday of tennis at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows.

The Round of 16 in both the men’s and women’s singles draws will be finalized, and the doubles draws continue to roll on, as an intriguing slate of matches highlight the ticket led by Roger Federer versus Nick Kyrgios.

By now, everyone has heard about the infamous pep talk Kyrgios received from the chair umpire during his second round win over Pierre-Hugues Herbert, while Federer routinely moved past Benoit Paire to book his spot at this stage. Federer, a five-time champion at the U.S. Open, is 2-1 all-time against Kyrgios, and has won 16 consecutive third-round matches here.

The Federer-Kyrgios battle will follow the opening match in the Day Session in Arthur Ashe Stadium, which pits 14th seeded American Madison Keys against Serbia’s Aleksandra Krunic. Keys has looked impressive thus far through two matches, not dropping a set and only having her serve broken twice through two matches. Keys and Krunic have split their previous two meetings, but Krunic’s victory came here at the U.S. Open, a thrilling three-set victory four years ago.

Fourth-seed and former champion Angelique Kerber is also in action on Saturday, as are fifth-seed Petra Kvitova and 22nd seed Maria Sharapova.

On the men’s side, fourth-seed Alex Zverev, sixth-seed Novak Djokovic and seventh-seed Marin Cilic will all take to the court seeking spots in the fourth-round of the year’s final major.
