Get Into the Guinness Book of World Records on August 26

Do you want to enter the Guinness Book of World Records? Then, come on down Friday, Aug. 26 to the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, as USTA Eastern teams up with Wilson Sporting Goods, and professional tennis players Mardy Fish and Andrea Petkovic, to try earn a spot among the world’s record holders The goal of this event is to break the record for the “most people bouncing tennis balls on tennis rackets,” which currently stands at 383.

Kids from across the USTA Eastern Section are being asked to participate in this special event. Registration for the event begins at 7:30 a.m., and the first 500 kids (ages 12 and under) who participate will receive free junior racquets and tennis balls, and the first 800 participants will receive free t-shirts.

If you would like to participate in this event, please click here and fill out the registration form by Wednesday, Aug. 24. On-site registration will also be available, but may require waiting in a long line, so all are encouraged to pre-register. Please note that media will report on this record-breaking event, so please make sure to bring your confirmation e-mail to the event signed. All participants will need a waiver, so please make sure if you are bringing minors without their parents, they have a form signed by one of their parents.
