Andy Murray has won his 19th career title after defeating American Donald Young in straight sets, 6-2, 6-0, in the finals of the Thailand Open. The match lasted only 48 min., with many unforced errors coming from Young's side of the court.
Although it may have showed many of Young's weaknesses in a match, this was his first tour final of his career. Murray was up 5-1 at a point prior to Young gaining another game; this however, did not stop an overhead smash winner to give Murray the first set.
The second set was straight games for Murray with no holds by Young, out of the 27 points the set consisted of, only three were won by Young.
"I just played really well, towards the end of the first set, he started playing well," said Murray. "But after that I hardly made any mistakes. I felt like I was moving well. It was difficult for him to hit any clean winners. He had to work hard for a lot of points."
