Tennis Expo Set for This Sunday at National Tennis Center

Great weather expected for Sunday’s 1st Annual New York Tennis Expo

New York Tennis Magazine and Long Island Tennis Magazine, the Ultimate Guides for New York and Long Island Tennis, are making final preparations for the 1st Annual New York Tennis Expo, set for Sunday, April 28, 2013 at USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, Queens, N.Y. The event will be free to attendees of all ages, and currently, there are more than 1,750 pre-registered for the Expo, and the forecast for Sunday in Queens is sunny, with zero percent chance of rain and temperatures in the low 60s. With walk-ups the day of the show, 2,500-plus are anticipated to come out to enjoy the festivities. In 2009 and 2011, the Long Island Tennis Expo drew over 1,200 people, and this year’s 1st Annual New York Tennis Expo is expected to be one of the largest grassroots tennis events ever held in New York.

Tennis enthusiasts and their families will be able to enjoy interactive discussions and presentations, headlined by world renowned Tennis Coach Nick Bollettieri. Sean Hannity, television host, author and political commentator, will emcee the speaking sessions, which will include a panel of experts featuring former top 10 player Tim Mayotte, as well as highly respected coaches from Long Island and New York. There will be on-court tennis demonstrations featuring a 10 & Under Tennis area run by Nick Bollettieri, a Speed Serve Booth, a Table Tennis area, racquet demos and much more. On the new Stadium Court 17, attendees will have the chance to hit with members of the St. John’s Tennis University team. The Kids Zone will feature parent-child tennis court, face painting and other fun games with great prizes. Tours of Arthur Ashe Stadium Court will give a behind the scenes look at the U.S. Open’s sights and rich history. Exhibitors will be set up throughout the day showing the latest and greatest products and services, and food and drink will be available.

The 1st Annual New York Tennis Expo will feature companies that deal with tennis players, tennis families, coaches, covering all facets of the sport, who will be on hand to showcase their products and services in a one-day, one-stop location. The Expo will highlight the leaders in tennis clubs, summer camps, USPTA professionals, training techniques, manufacturers, experts in the field of sports medicine, college scholarship advisors, training facilities, reps from colleges and universities, health food and energy drinks, tennis travel destinations, and much more.
