Maspeth Boys and Newcomers Girls Remain Undefeated

The Maspeth boys tennis team moved to 3-0 on the season with a 3-2 victory over Grover Cleveland on Tuesday afternoon. Maspeth was anchored by its singles play, winning all three singles matches but dropping both doubles contests. Horia Negru, Nikodem Citak and Beniamin Citak all picked up singles victories to keep Maspeth atop League B3.

The girls team from Newcomers also kept their undefeated record intact on Tuesday, beating Robert Wagner 5-0. The Lady Lions rolled in all five contests, losing just five games overall to push their record to 5-0. Newcomers now stand alone atop the League B3 standings.
