Brooklyn Tech Boys and RFK Girls Remain Undefeated on the Season

The Brooklyn Tech Engineers continued its excellent start to the 2015 campaign, beating Midwood 5-0 to improve its 5-0 on the season.

The Engineers were led by its first singles player, William Trang, who got things started with an 8-0 win to open up the contest. At second doubles, Daniel Maseyev teamed up with Matthew Solovey to beat Midwood’s Jason Zheng & Shawn Carter 8-3 as Brooklyn Tech stayed atop the League A2 standings.

Brooklyn Tech’s next match will be at home against Fort Hamilton, while Midwood will travel to New Utrecht.

The Robert F. Kennedy girls squad won its seventh match to start the season, beating Richmond Hill 4-1 on Wednesday afternoon.

The Panthers Jessica Chyu notched the key victory at second singles as she edged Richmond Hill’s Luban Sadiq 10-7 to help pace Robert F. Kennedy who dropped the first singles contest.

Robert F. Kennedy, who improved to 7-0 with the win, has already exceeded its win total from a year ago, and matched their win total from the 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons. It will look to move to 8-0 when it hosts Franklin Lane campus.

Richmond Hill travels to Newtown for its next match.
