The Hunter Girls Tennis team notched a big victory Thursday afternoon, beating Beacon 4-1 in a League A3 matchup.

The Hawks of Hunter dropped the opening first singles contest, as Beacon’s Alexus Gill beat Sabrina Adams of Hunter 10-4 to give Beacon the early advantage.

But Hunter would respond by winning the final four matches of the contest, highlighted by an 8-5 win by Nandini Sahney at third singles. The Hawks got great performances by both its first and second doubles tandems, who each picked up victories to secure the victory, an gain a game on Beacon in the A3 standings.

The win puts Hunter at 7-4 on the season and drops Beacon to 8-2.
