Tips From The Pro: The Circle of Death

A great way to improve your results during a singles point (once you get past the serve) is to follow this idea: draw a circle five feet in all directions from the "T" (where the center service line and the service line meet) and you will define the "circle of death".

If you hit a ball that lands in this area, there is a good chance that your opponent will be able to hit the next shot to either get you in trouble or win the point-be ready to defend.

On the other hand, if your opponent hits a ball that lands in this area, you should be hitting the next shot with the idea of getting them in trouble or winning the point.

Keep your shots away from this area whenever possible and look for balls hit by your opponent that land in this area. The player who executes this better is usually the winner of the match.
