St. John’s Jessica Livianu was named the BIG EAST Women’s Tennis Player of the Year for the third consecutive season as the 2019 BIG EAST Women’s Tennis all-conference awards were released earlier this week.

The Brooklyn native compiled another dominant season in her junior year. Following up on a 16-1 record at first singles last year, Livianu went 17-0 on the top court this season, with 16 of those matches being won in straight sets. In doubles, she went 11-3.

In her three years competing for the Red Storm, Livianu has compiled an overall record of 51-3 record in singles in dual-match play.

As the conference’s player of the year, Livianu receives entry into the Oracle ITA Masters Tournament in Malibu, Calif., which runs from September 26 through September 29. Last year, Livianu became the first player from the conference to reach the tournament’s quarterfinals.
