New York City High School Recap: Thursday, September 20

Defending New York City champions Brooklyn Tech won in its first match of the season on Thursday afternoon, defeating Leon Goldstein 4-1.

The Engineers were led by its singles play on Thursday, receiving wins from Alina Abramoff, Maryna Bohdanovska and Audrey Simon at first, second and third singles, respectively.

Naysa Joseph Gabriel and Oralie Joseph Gabriel notched a 10-7 win over Alexis Mitelman and Sarah Fatihi at second doubles for the fourth Brooklyn Tech win.

Leon Goldstein’s victory came at first doubles as Danna Gelfand and Isabella Savino edged Jenny Krush and Mira Gupta 11-9 to round out the scoring.
