The USTA is advising all fans attending Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day (AAKD) on Saturday, August 24, that due to a sold-out show, which includes remarks by First Lady Michelle Obama, and in conjunction with enhanced security procedures, that they can anticipate a longer entry process into Arthur Ashe Stadium.
To help alleviate and reduce delays, the USTA will open entry to Arthur Ashe Stadium at 11 am on Saturday, an hour earlier than previously scheduled. Overall entry to the grounds of the USTA National Tennis Center for all AAKD ground activities outside of Arthur Ashe Stadium will remain at the scheduled time of 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. Fans without tickets to Arthur Ashe Stadium can access the grounds activities on a first-come, first-served basis.
The USTA also plans to add entertainment elements for those fans that enter Arthur Ashe Stadium early, including access to player practice, viewing of the AAKD musical talent red carpet and other fun events.
