Jack Sock was victorious in his debut at the Stockholm Open on Tuesday. He defeated Bernard Tomic in straight sets 6-4, 6-2 in just 59 minutes. The 21-year-old Sock converted five of his nine break point opportunities. Sock will have to play even better in the next round as he will next play top-seeded David Ferrer. Ferrer is making his first appearance at the ATP World Tour 250 tournament since 2006. Coming into this tournament, Sock had just cracked the top 100 at number 97 on the ATP Tour. Tomic came into the tournament at 52, while Ferrer is currently the world’s third ranked player.
