April 29, 2026 | By Press Release

The University of Mount Saint Vincent (UMSV)’s Department of Athletics has brought back its men’s and women’s tennis programs for the first time since 2009. The men’s Dolphins, who compete in the Skyline Conference, are led by head coach Rob Kiley. The women’s Dolphins, whose season concluded in the fall, will be led in the 2026-2027 season by head coach Danielle Carr, who became head coach this month. The programs bring UMSV’s expanded count of athletic team offerings to 16 unique sports.

“Bringing on Rob is an important step as we reintroduce men’s tennis at UMSV,” stated Christine Friel, Director for Athletics and Recreation. “This inaugural season is about establishing culture, standards, and long term success. I’m excited for Rob and our student athletes.”

“We’re thrilled to welcome Danielle, our new tennis coach, whose depth of experience and strong connections within our local tennis community make her an exceptional addition to our program,” stated Friel. “Her leadership and passion for player development will be instrumental in elevating our young athletes. We’re confident she will help build a competitive, successful program both on and off the court.”
