USTA Eastern Metro Region Adult League Update
Our Metro Adult Spring/Summer leagues are in full swing with teams participating across all five boroughs. We have had plenty of sun and a much drier season than in years past, and we hope the good weather continues through our championships at the end of July.
Last month we hosted our 18 & Over Mixed Doubles Regional at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. Great tennis was played by all, and the following teams are advancing to the Sectional tournament.
18 & Over 6.0 Queens – Captained by Lily Lee and Milo Thalrose
18 & Over 7.0 Manhattan – Captained by Alina Lekser and Kevin Ni
18 & Over 8.0 Manhattan – Captained by Nihar Damarasingu
18 & Over 9.0 Queens – Captained by Nihar Damarasingu
18 & Over 10.0 Manhattan – Captained by Chrissina Kintanar and Daria Sekerina
All of these teams represented the Metro Region in the Sectional tournament at Donald Van Blake Tennis Facility in early June. Congratulations to our 18 & Over Manhattan 7.0 and 8.0 teams for winning the Sectional tournament and moving on to Nationals this fall!
While there is still plenty of Spring/Summer tennis to be played, we will begin registration for our fall leagues next month, including 18 & Over Manhattan Mixed Doubles and 3.5/4.0/4.5 tri-level.
