Bard Boys Move to 9-0 and SI Tech Girls Continue Their Perfect Season

The Bard Boys Tennis team won its ninth consecutive match Monday afternoon, defeating West 50th Street 5-0 to improve its record to 9-0 on the season.
The Raptors got a big win from Caleb Miller at first singles that set the tone for the rest of the match. Miller defeated West 50th Street’s Paul Joshua Delarosa 10-2 to get Bard going, and his teammates took care of business in the other four matches.
The win maintains Bard’s two-game lead atop the League B4 standings. The Raptors will play Frederick Douglas on the road next. West 50th Street will play the High School of Environmental Studies next.

Just like the Bard Boys, the McKee/Staten Island Tech Girls also won its ninth consecutive match on Monday afternoon to improve its record to 9-0 on the season.
The Seagulls slipped past Susan Wagner 4-1 behind its strong doubles play. Caitlin Balagula and Elizabeth Khusid took down Crystal Klein and Dana Friedman 10-2 at first doubles to seal the match for the Seagulls.
The top two singles players for Staten Island Tech, Sophia Kryloff and Anastasiya Malinouskaya, each won their respective singles matches 10-0 to set the tone early on.
The Seagulls will put its perfect season on the line again when it takes on CSIHS/McCown in its next match. Susan Wagner drops to 4-4 on the season, and will also take on CSIHS/McCown in its next contest.
