Beacon Boys Stay Unbeaten, Tottenville Girls Win Fourth Straight

The Beacon Blue Demons won its fifth consecutive match to open up 2015 with a 5-0 victory over the High School for American Studies on Thursday afternoon. Oliver Sec led the way for the Blue Demons with an 8-0 win over Harrison Smart at first singles.
Beacon takes its unblemished record on the road to Stuyvesant next. The High School for American Studies will host Stuyvesant in their next contest.

The Tottenville Pirates girls tennis team won its fourth straight contest on Thursday, going on the road to down Susan Wagner 5-0. Karina Karazhbey led the way for the Pirates at second singles, beating Susan Wagner’s Batool Mulla 10-8 to improve her individual record to 7-1 in singles matches this year.
Tottenville and Susan Wagner will play each other in their next contest, this one on Tottenville’s home courts.
