On Thursday, August 15, the Kings County Tennis League (KCTL) will host its Fourth Annual Fundraiser at The Dumbo Loft, located at 155 Water Street in Brooklyn, N.Y. from 6:30 p.m.-10:00 p.m. Come enjoy free drinks courtesy of Brooklyn Brewery and live jazz featuring The Austin Walker Trio at The Dumbo Loft in Brooklyn with KCTL board members, volunteers, friends and supporters. We’ll be having a raffle for great prizes. Winners will be announced before the end of the evening. All ticket and raffle ticket purchases will go towards the KCTL program including: Taking the kids to Arthur Ashe Kid’s Day at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, team uniforms, healthy snacks during practice and more! Tickets will be available at the door the day of the event for $30 and space will be limited.
Since 2010, KCTL has been serving the Bed-Stuy neighborhood kids free tennis lessons every Saturday from May-October as a way to provide positive mentoring and community-building. What started out as the Marcy Tennis Club has expanded to three additional sites at Tompkins, Lafayette Gardens and Sumner Houses–all under the umbrella name, Kings County Tennis League. Our mission to Bring Tennis to the Kids is in full swing this season as we work with over 100 kids each Saturday.
