Kim Clijsters has completed her Wimbledon career with a loss to eighth-seeded Angelique Kerber in the fourth round. Clijsters is going to retire after the completion of the U.S. Open this September. She fell to Kerber in straight sets 1-6, 1-6, and didn’t earn a single break point throughout.

She was able to save match point in the second at 0-5; however, Kerber then served out the match at love. Clijsters wanted to advance to what would have been her fourth Wimbledon quarterfinal, but was not able to complete the task at the All England Club.
