Luisiana RamÃrez: Rising Beyond Limits in the Global Arena of Beach Tennis

In the dynamic world of beach tennis, where resilience and artistry collide on the sand, few athletes embody passion and perseverance as powerfully as Luisiana Elena RamÃrez Vásquez. Born in Valencia, Venezuela, the 27-year-old professional has emerged as one of the country’s most accomplished players, representing not only her homeland but also the spirit of determination that defines champions.
Her athletic journey began in traditional tennis, a sport that shaped her discipline and competitive drive. At 15, she discovered beach tennis, and the connection was instant. What began as a new challenge quickly evolved into a calling. By the age of 17, RamÃrez had already stepped onto the international stage and competed in her first professional tournament in Aruba.

As her rise continued, she proudly represented the Venezuelan National Team in November 2018 at the Pan American Games, and helped her country advance to the quarterfinals before falling to Brazil, the world’s dominant powerhouse. She was later pre-selected for the South American Beach Games in Rosario, Argentina in 2019, solidifying her position as one of Venezuela’s premier athletes and a force in professional Beach Tennis.
Throughout her career, RamÃrez has competed in more than 45 ITF tournaments and over 50 national and invitational events, consistently establishing herself on both domestic and international circuits. In 2023, she achieved her career-high rankings: No. 3 in Venezuela and No. 69 in the world—a testament to her talent, work ethic and unyielding commitment to the sport.
Her journey has not been without adversity, however. In July 2023, during the final of an ITF BT50 in Puerto Rico, with the score locked at 3-3, RamÃrez suffered a devastating injury: a torn ACL in her left knee. The setback came at the height of her career, forcing her into one of the most grueling battles an athlete can face—not against an opponent, but against her own limits.
What followed was a story of resilience that defines her legacy. Months of rigorous rehabilitation, relentless discipline, and mental fortitude led to an extraordinary comeback. In January 2025, she returned to the very same Puerto Rican tournament where she had her career derailed. Against the odds, she fought her way back to the final, finishing runner-up after a dramatic super tie-break against Puerto Rico’s top-ranked team, currently in the world’s top 30. Her comeback was more than a result—it was a statement of strength and perseverance.
A Global Ambassador for Beach Tennis

Beyond her competitive achievements, RamÃrez has made a profound impact as a coach, mentor, and ambassador for beach tennis worldwide. She began coaching at a young age, working first with children and eventually guiding players of all ages and levels—from beginners to professionals.Â
Her influence has resonated across the beach tennis world, through her work with renowned academies, including La Iguana and Grip (Italo-Venezuelan Club) in Venezuela, Caribbean Beach Tennis School in Aruba, Sandpoint Sport and Fitness and WOW Beach Tennis Academy in the United States, as well as hosting clinics in Puerto Rico. Through her coaching, she has contributed to the sport’s global growth while inspiring a new generation of players.
Competing Among the Elite

RamÃrez’s credibility on the world stage is further underscored by the caliber of athletes she has trained and competed alongside. She has shared the court with global standouts such as Carlos Vigon (World No. 23), Ramón Guedez (World No. 44), and Patricia DÃaz, a multiple-time World No. 1. These experiences not only elevated her own level but also placed her firmly within the elite circles of international beach tennis.
A Legacy of Excellence

Luisiana RamÃrez is more than an athlete—she is a symbol of perseverance, leadership, and international recognition. Her story illustrates the qualities that define world-class talent: skill, resilience, and the ability to inspire across borders.
Her journey, marked by victories, setbacks, and extraordinary comebacks, continues to inspire the global beach tennis community. With her sights set on climbing the international rankings and expanding the sport’s reach, RamÃrez represents the very essence of excellence in athletics—a true ambassador of beach tennis and a great person on and off the court.
