SI Tech Beats Tottenville In Battle of Unbeatens

A huge Staten Island League A4 matchup took place on Tuesday, and it was the Seagulls of McKee/Staten Island Tech that got the upper hand, downing Tottenville 5-0 to hand the Pirates its first defeat of the season.

Miriam Aziz scored a 10-2 win over Paulina Daugis at first singles, and Anastasiya Malinouskaya knocked off Alexia Adragna 10-1 at second singles to lead the way for the Seagulls. Caitlin Balagula chipped in a 10-4 victory over Karina Karazhbey at third singles and the two doubles pairs finished the job to complete the five-match sweep.

The win improves Staten Island Tech to 3-0 on the year and puts them in a tie with Susan Wagner atop the A4 standings. Susan Wagner defeated Curtis 4-1 on Tuesday.
