St. John’s Heads to Manhattan For Columbia Invitational
The St. John’s women’s tennis team will stay local and head to Manhattan this weekend as it is one of six programs taking part in the Columbia Invitational at the Dick Savitt Tennis Center. 
The Columbia Invitational is comprised of six competing teams: Columbia, Hofstra, Boston University, University of Pennsylvania, Maryland, and St. John’s. Action is broken down into five singles flights and three doubles flights with the singles flights being named after one of the five boroughs in New York City (Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, Bronx, and Manhattan).
Each flight contains four matches which will begin play on Friday and will require three wins to be crowned the champion. The Johnnies have at least one competitor in each flight.
