Atlanta played host to the All-American Team Cup this weekend, with the top-ranked Americans taking part in a team competition which concluded on Sunday. After a back-and-forth affair throughout the weekend, it was Team Stars that defeated Team Stripes in a final match tiebreak to claim the overall victory.

Atlanta native Christopher Eubanks was thrust into action to fill in for Frances Tiafoe, who withdrew from the tournament on Friday night after testing positive for COVID-19. Eubanks defeated John Isner on Sunday 5-7, 6-4, 10-6, which was followed by a 4-6, 6-3, 10-7 win by Taylor Fritz over Tennys Sandgren.

In the tournament’s final match, Tommy Paul played Steve Johnson in a sudden death tie-breaker, which Paul would win to give Team Stars the victory in the 2020 All-American Team Cup, and the $10,000 prize money which will be donated to the Folded Flag Foundation.
