A "razor" is a problem solving principle that states the simplest solution and answer to any problem, the one which requires the fewest assumptions, is generally the correct one.

Many studies now indicate that tennis is THE safest sport to play in this COVID-19 era because it is a socially distant sport.

The great challenge that every parent recognizes is that not every young person is disciplined and conscientious enough to maintain social distancing, especially while engaged in recreation and play.

The USTA has an extensive list of safety guidelines but they are complicated, and the simple, unified and unequivocal messaging that we all should recognize is that:

Tennis is safe for children and much safer in a controlled environment, supervised by trained professionals.
